Reviews
After you have exchanged messages with someone, you can leave a public 1–5★ review on their profile. Read reviews before agreeing to an exchange.
Verification
Profiles show a ✓ verified badge once verified. Email verification is planned; ID and video-call verification will follow. Until then, always video-call your host/traveler before travelling.
Golden rules
- HearthSwap is free. Never pay a host or send deposits, and never accept work that replaces a paid job.
- Agree on hours, tasks, days off and accommodation in writing (in messages) before you go.
- Check local visa rules — some countries treat work exchange as work.
- Share your plans with a friend; keep emergency money and travel insurance.
- Leave if you feel unsafe. Contact local emergency services first, then report to us.
